Tierra Sur Restaurant, inside Herzog Wine Cellars new state-of-the-art winery, is Chef Todd Aarons' second incarnation of Mediterranean influenced seasonal cuisine, this time utilizing California’s local produce. Chef Aarons is a veteran of Zuni Café in San Francisco and Savoy in Manhattan, and is now returning home to California to make Tierra Sur his new abode.

With Tierra Sur, Todd’s cooking is once again rustic, unpretentious and ingredient driven. Menu items such as pomegranate-marinated lamb, aged rib-eye steak and wild king salmon are cooked outdoors over an open flame. The menu also includes house-made organic corn tortillas with exotic fillings such as birria (chili-braised lamb) with salsa cruda and grilled achiote-marinated red snapper with tomatillo salsa. A high point of the menu is the prix fixe wine tasters meal with wine pairings for each course.

Tierra Sur continually strives to bring the best produce and ingredients to its customers by buying from local, small family farms. We are proud to participate in the Growers Collaborative Program under Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF). CAFF is a statewide non-profit organization that works to build a movement of rural and urban people to foster family-scale agriculture that cares for the land, sustains local economies and promotes social justice.

Reservations are required on Sundays, and recommended Monday through Friday.  We apologize, but your reservation can not be held more than 30 minutes past your scheduled arrival time.

Farmer's Dinner with Phil McGrath

Monday, May 19th - 7 pm

Of the 300 acres on the McGrath Family Farms ranch, farmer Phil McGrath grows an extensive array of seasonal vegetables. Year-round vegetables grow on 24 acres with an additional 4 acres of strawberries and 17 acres of lemons. At Tierra Sur, McGrath's organic strawberries are showcased all through the spring and summer. Enjoy a special dinner prepared by Chef Aarons, utilizing McGrath's freshest seasonal selections. Dinner is $75 per person (plus tax & gratuity) and includes a glass of Reserve wine paired with your entree. Please call for reservations.

Monday & Tuesday Lunch- $18 Prix Fixe*

Reward yourself early in the week with a two course lunch including an appetizer and entreé option for just $18. Available each week on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Join us for a Farmer's Market inspired menu on Monday nights. We are offering a three course prix fixe menu utilizing some of our favorite seasonal ingredients.

The new Patio Menu

at Tierra Sur!

Just in time for summer, Tierra Sur's patio will now be presenting alfresco dining. We are firing up the wood-burning grill and offering a more casual dining experience, complete with unique aperitifs. Starting June 15th, the Patio will be open each Sunday 12-6 pm.
