Peter Stern has been active in the California wine industry for over 30 years and has been executive winemaker for Herzog Wine Cellars for over two decades. He began his formal training with a Masters Degree in Enology from the University of California at Davis and studied Business Administration in the MBA program at the University of California at Berkeley. His career began with industry standard bearers Gallo Winery and Robert Mondavi Winery before he moved to the Silicon Valley to accept a position as Vice President, Partner and Winemaker for the J. Lohr Winery in San Jose, California. For the past 21 years he has consulted for clients in Israel, Spain, Hungary, Argentina and France.
